ABOUT FREEDOM SEEK - THE PROJECT

This is a site for people who love Lebanon. It is a space in which to discuss, share, and express that love through the creative arts in all forms – visual, audio, and written. This is a place where people can share their passion for Lebanon and express their feelings towards it – be it happiness, anger, sadness, or hope – with likeminded people. This is a chance to put Lebanon back into the hands of its people, to opt for freedom over conflict, and understanding over hatred.

FreedomSeek is a project that aims to wake the people of Lebanon up, and to make them realize the mistakes they have been making by following leaders and politicians who have brought nothing but harm to the country for decades. Lebanon is not a space for the power-hungry to play out their political games. Lebanon is our home. It is time we let them know that we have had enough, and it is time we show them that Lebanon is about more than just war and sectarian strife.

For that reason, this site is strictly not to be used as a venue to promote specific political or religious convictions or ideas. This is not a space for people who believe in or follow any one party or leader, but for those who believe in Lebanon, and want to help bring peace, prosperity, and stability to the country. Politicians and sectarian leaders have done nothing but destroy Lebanon and have taken it away from the hands of the people who love it the most. This project is an attempt to take it back. This site is a chance for us to recover, discover, and uncover the beauty of Lebanon, the country and its people, in all its diversity – its good as well as its bad, its joy as well as its despair.

It is time we show the world the Lebanon we know and love. We seek to surpass the political and religious boundaries that have been separating us by force, and to create a space in which people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds can share one vision and one love towards our home. We need to celebrate and be proud of our diversity, not let it tear us apart. By spreading this vision we can help make a change in our country. Because as artists, we believe that through love, respect, expression, and dialogue, freedom will one day become a reality.

There are no rules as to the kind of art that can be displayed on this website. All forms of creative expression are welcome, from abstract designs to landscape photography, from poetry to musical compositions, and everything in between.
The subject matter should be about Lebanon & Freedom, and the only rule regarding content is that it should not foster division or hate, or promote sectarianism in any way.
